Berkshire Report - April Issue - Nicola Heron.
----------------------------------------------------------------

Four Counties CTC is now a registered F.I.T.A.S.C. Sporting Ground. This is fantastic news for Berkshire shooters. Well done Brian and Sue for all your hard work. Brian tells me that they are setting aside 4 squad allocations for Berkshire shooters for the County Championships on the 18/05/08 so make sure you get your name down if you want to shoot. Brian and Sue are also thinking of running some ''introduction to FITASC'' days where the targets will be less extreme, so watch the website and the magazine for more details.

Brand new website for Berkshire shooters.

This was launched at the end of February. See www.bershirecpsa.co.uk. This is a great website with lots of information about shooting in the county.

All the shoot dates for the County Championships and the Inter-County Championships are listed along with full details of the Supreme Championships.
Please remember to register your interest with any of the committee or through the website contact links if you want to shoot in the Inter-County teams.

There will be a ''forum'' for you all to have your say about shooting in the County or shooting in general. This is where you can tell us what you want from your committee.

We now have a special section for Juniors and we would welcome any juniors in the County sending us a profile of themselves and a picture if possible to put under the junior section. Don't be shy, we need you!
All the contacts for the committee are shown, in case you need any questions answered. You will also see that Berkshire has a new Chairman in Keith Kilvington (expectant father, who is going to combine this new job with anti-natal classes. The controlled breathing exercises I am sure, will help his OT shooting this year!)

The new Berkshire merchandise has its own page where you can order polo shits, oxford shirts, caps, sweatshirts and shooting towels all with our Berkshire logo. The money raised will go to promoting the sport in the County. We are hoping to run two ''have a go'' days this year to introduce new people to the sport. Again watch the website for details in the news section.

We will also have an archive section and would be really grateful if any of you have any old shoot photographs or great scores from the past, that you could send to us for inclusion on the archive page.

If you are organizing a charity shoot or a fundraising shoot please let us know so that we can include it on the website as we will have a current news section.

We also want to hear from you when you are out and about around the shoots, if you have any great or small successes we want to know about it. There will be plenty of room for you and your pictures on the website.
We will be relying on you to help make this website exactly what you want for Berkshire shooters.

Now finally, all you skeet shooters out there watch out!......there is a ''new kid on the block''..........and he is doing very well.
His name is Ben Pye and he has had some fantastic results for a 14 year old, including a 98/100 in December at the NCSC. You will be amazed to know that Ben, who has only shot occasionally with his father, recently joined the CPSA when he started shooting clays during the summer of 2007.
Well done Ben and all the very best for the 2008 season, we look forward to welcoming you at the Berkshire Skeet County Championships.
(It has to be said that his father Andrew is not bad either, posting a 100/100 skeet at Fareham in January!! Welcome back Andrew.)

County Championship dates to put in the diary are;

30/03/08. All Round at Fareham.
05/04/08. Helice at A1 Shooting Ground.
13/04/08. English Skeet at the NCSC Bisley.
20/04/08. ABT at Fareham CTC.
10/05/08. UT at the NCSC Bisley
18/05/08. F.I.T.A.S.C. Sporting at Four Counties CTC
