Berkshire Olympic Skeet County Championship NCSC 22nd March
Once again it was the NCSC who was to hold our Olympic Skeet Championship on the 22nd March.
The glorious weather was not enough to tempt many Berkshire guns to enter what is a very difficult discipline. There was a total of 7 squads which included Surrey and Sussex in this joint Championship.
It was Andy who was to lead the way with an opening 24 closely followed by Sean O'Shea on 22, not to be outdone Sean cleaned them all up for a straight 25 Andy getting 23 so it was all square after 50 targets.
Ben Pye was the leading Junior with 39/50 and Rachel Harding the leading Lady with 30/50
But it was Mr.Pye who was to show the way home with 49/50 on his last 2 lines for an impressive 96/100 with Sean 44/50 for 91/100 and the Veterans title.
Ben taking the Junior title with 84/100 and Rachel winning the Ladies with 64/100.
Many thanks to the staff at the NCSC for running a very smooth competition.
Now we have to wait until Sept. to see if the Double County Champion can make it the triple at the Skeet Doubles!!!!!
