Discipline: Double Trap
Venue: National Clay Shooting Centre
Date: 15th July 2007
Here we are again - eight out of nine teams forgot how hard this discipline was and rallied around to support the event for another year!!
Once again the stars shone through with Champion Steve Scott showing everyone the way with 140, hot on his heels was Lady Champion Rachel Parish with 137, Craig Walker was the Junior Champion, Chester Cobb the Colt Champion and Ken Harman, who seems to be able to shoot every discipline invented, was the Veteran Champion.
The team event was clear cut with Surrey taking the honours 16 clays ahead of second place Sussex with Essex, looking resplendent in their matching skeet vests, in third place. Sadly Buckinghamshire had 4 members of their team who did not bother to show up so they were down to a team of three.
The weather stayed dry and there was a good atmosphere despite many shooters begging me not to ask them to enter next year!!!!
