Discipline: Intercounties English Skeet
Venue: Dartford Gun Club
Date: 24th June 2007
A really good day was had by all (despite the weather).
This event, being held for the first time at Dartford Gun Club, was run extremely well with a good atmospher,
good food and excellent targets. The ground looked immaculate and obviously a lot of hard work had gone
into the running of this championship.
The champion, after a shoot off with Dave Morgan and Ross Pottinger, was Darren Wood from Kent, who was delighted,
the Lady Champion was Sarah Gray from Kent and the Junior Champion was Jason Adams also from Kent who
was unable to have a shoot off as James Ayes was not present so he won by default. The Colts had a shoot off with
Jack Greenleaf from Essex emerging the winner and the Veterans also had a shoot off with Bob English from Essex taking the title.
(Colin Webb was not present so he was unable to contest the title).
Again, the team shoot went down to the wire with Kent winning by just 1 target from Essex with Berkshire and
Surrey tying for third place.
I would like to thank everyone at Dartford for making this event a tremendous success.
