Clay grounds in Reading area 2 Years, 3 Months ago
Hi,

I'm going to be moving to the Reading area in the near future and would like to find a clay shooting ground that I could go to on Sunday mornings.

If anyone could point me in the right direction or post some grounds in the area it would be greatly appreciated.

G

East, West, North or South Reading? Sporting, trap or skeet? Answers to these questions may help those who can help you. There is one thing for sure you will be able to get Sunday shooting without too much trouble and most of it is top notch.

Good luck

I don't mind in which direction it is, within about a 20 mile radius of Reading would be ok. As for type of shooting, again I don't mind, but if there are a few around that I could do different things at on different weekends that would be a bonus. I'm mainly looking for an informal club/ground where I can break some clays at the weekend and have a bit of a luagh whilst doing so. I'm not going to be entering the 2012 olympics so it doesn't need to be too serious. Are there many grounds in the area?

Flight Line (Sporting) - just outside Maidenhead off A4 towards Reading. (Alternate Sundays).

Four Counties (see links on this page for details) Sporting.

Churchills Shooting Ground. Just off M40 near Handy Cross. Sporting, compak, skeet, DTL.

Bisley - Sporting, skeet, DTL, Double Trap, Olympic Trap & Skeet.

Plus other smaller places dotted around. Keep your eye open in the "Pull" magazine. All the above are within 30/45 mins of Reading (depending upon which side you are living).
