South East Region of the Clay Pigeon Shooting Association

Discipline:            Intercounties Automatic Ball Trap Report

Venue:   National Clay Shooting Centre

Date:                      10th June 2007

An excellent day for the first of the Intercounties Championships for 2007.

Good targets, good weather and good company.

A full complement of 9 teams for this championship, which went right down to the wire.

Sussex emerged the Champions (I can hardly bear to tell you) by just one target from Greater London with Berkshire, in their first

championshipsince joining the South East Region, in third place.

The champion was the unflappable Dave Simmons (Sussex) with 98, Mary Rowley (Buckinghamshire) won the Ladies with 89,

Joe Baker (Essex) won the Juniors with 92, Simon Clarke (Berkshire) won the Colts with 87 and Eamon Skehan (God's own county)

won the Veterans with 94.

Although Rod Gould is not in our region a mention must be given as he shot an incredible 100/100. Well done.

My thanks on behalf of the South East Region go to Barry Desborough and all the staff at NCSC for a perfect competition

and to all the shooters who attended, most staying till the end.

I had a lovely day and I hope you all did as well.

Sandie Buckler

South East Regional Secretary
