As the junior refund offered in the last competition season was not really taken up by juniors we have decided to try a different approach for juniors this year.
Apart from them being able to compete for the Gold, Silver and Bronze medals and Perpetual Silver trophies in the Berkshire County Championships and the Junior Supreme Championships, this year they will also be competing for the chance to win a bursary.
The Berkshire Committee have decided to give a Bursary for 2009 competition season to the most outstanding Junior of the 2008 season.
To stand a chance of winning this bursary you will need to show us that you are a committed shooter. We will be looking at all our juniors in the Berkshire County Championships through this 2008 competition season. We will also be looking at them in other local and national competitions.
The onus will be on the junior to forward scores and reports of what they have done to us that they think will be relevant or of interest. Quantity of shoots done in a year or winning the Supreme is not the main concern.
What we are looking for is commitment, temperament,  improvement in scores and consistency throughout the 2008 season.

Once again we need you and/or your parents to write a profile about you.
This could include a bit about yourself, how you started shooting, where you shoot, past successes and future aspirations. We would also include a photo of you (with permission of a guardian) .

2008 Inter-County Teams

 

 

How would you like to represent Berkshire in the 2008 season. Well it could easily be you, compete in any of the County Championships and if you win the Junior or the Colts title you will be
invited to join the Inter-County team in that event. We were unable to take Juniors and Colts to many of the Inter-county competitions last year because nobody turned out in the County shoots so come along and have a go.
All members of the Inter-county team will receive a sew-on badge to show that you have represented your County.
