God's Own Team Rules Supreme!!!
Eight teams attended the NCSC for this, the penultimate Intercounties Championship for 2007.
The sun was shining and yes, you have guessed, God's Own County were the Winning Team by a mighty 17 clays. Sussex were second with Berkshire (we are going to have to watch them!!) in third place.
As if this wasn't enough excitement for an old pensioner like me, Dick Fletton (Greater London) shot an amazing 99/100 to become the Champion.
The Lady champion was Michelle Rowe (Hertfordshire) with 86, the Junior champion was Tom Ward (Sussex) with 81, the Colt champion was Daniel Wicker (Essex) with 77 and the Veteran champion was Bob Cadman (Greater London) with 87.
I had a truly brilliant day - my boys did me proud. (Biased - me!!!)
At the end of the presentation the Sussex Committee presented me with a gorgeous bouquet of flowers to thank me for all I did for the South East Region - I was very touched by this - thank you.
My thanks go to Barry and the team at the NCSC for a lovely day and to all the shooters who have supported the Intercounties in 2007.
