Berkshire Olympic Skeet Championship

The 2008 Olympic Skeet Championship was held at the NCSC on Sunday 25th May and there was only 8 Berkshire members who were prepared to take up the challenge of this difficult discipline.

It was Andy Pye and Junior Leslie Johnstone who posted 23's  and took the early lead in the 1st round and Andy's son Ben  in 3rd with a 21, good shooting in difficult light conditions.

A break in the clouds brightened up proceedings and the scores started to creep higher. Andy shot another 23 in round 2 with Leslie hot on his heals with 22 and Ben on 21. Sean O'shea was in 4th with 39/50.

Andy continued his dominance of this Championship posting 47/50 in the last 2 rounds to take the win with 93/100. Leslie managed to finish on 89 to take the Junior title and runner up, Ben finished with 84 to be Junior Silver medallist.

Sean O'Shea finished 4th overall and took the Veterans title with 82.

Racheal Harding was Ladies Champion with 53 and well done to Mark Howland who finished in 5th place in his first Berkshire County Championship.
