Berkshire Skeet Doubles Championship

It was a very nice day for this championship at the NCSC. Good light so no excuses for bad shooting...............well that is how it started.

I had not shot skeet doubles before and was slightly nervous about making a complete plonker of myself and decided early on to only think of the first bird. Put it in the bag I thought and if enough time left hope for the best with the second one.

Well I was surprised to say that it was good fun. It certainly keeps you on your toes. The really interesting bit was that once you had gone all the way around from High house to Low house, you instantly started going backwards to High house again shooting each of the stands in reverse order.

Berkshire Champion and Veteran Champion was Ken Harman on 97

Ladies Champion was Nicola Gryspeerdt on 90

1^st in A was Andrew Halfacre on 95

1^st in B was Adrian Miles on 91

1^st in C was Carl Miles on 92.

Other notable scores were Ross Pottinger (AA) on 96 and C Coomber (C) on 90.

All you Berkshire shooters who have not tried this discipline then put it in your diary for next year.............It was fun.
